Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

GlassScan ("the app") is designed to run entirely on your device. We take the position that the best way to protect your privacy is to never collect your data in the first place.

What we collect

Nothing. GlassScan does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no logins, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.

How the app works

GlassScan uses your device's Bluetooth to scan for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) advertisements in order to alert you when smart glasses or similar wearable devices may be near you.

Permissions we request, and why

GlassScan does not request location, camera, or microphone access.

Data retention

Because no data is collected or stored off-device, there is nothing to retain or delete. Uninstalling the app removes any transient data.

Children's privacy

GlassScan does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
